Today, Not a lot of Americans live a healthy life. For the past 25 years, more than half of the US population has been overweight or obese; from 2009-2012 more than 56% percent of adults had eithetr prehypertension or hypertension, 53% of adults had abnormally high blood cholesterol, and the prevalence of diabetes in adults in 2012 was around 1 in 10. Over the years, the prevalence of diseases like CVD, diabetes, and obesity has increased. The reason for this is Americans' poor life style. Americans are known to have a lazy lifestyle and poor diet. Because of our poor nutrition and lack of exercise, the occurance of certain chronic diseases has increased in the USA. We Americans need to fight this epidemic of life-style caused diseases. We all need to try to eat healthier, move more, and be better. This way we can all move toward being a happier, healthier America
